Reiki is a gentle yet powerful practice that harnesses universal life force energy to promote healing, balance, and wellbeing. It is a holistic therapy that works on all levels of the body, mind, and spirit.
In Reiki, energy is directed through the practitioner’s hands to the client, helping to clear energy blockages, release tension, and activate the body’s natural healing abilities.
Reiki can be used to alleviate physical pain, emotional distress, and spiritual disconnection. It can calm and relax and has been shown to benefit stress-related conditions including anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress.
Reiki is also a powerful tool for self-discovery and transformation, as it helps to promote a deeper connection to oneself and the world around us.
Reiki is non-intrusive involving you to be fully clothed. The practitioner places their hands on or over certain areas of your body.
For over a decade I have shared Reiki with clients at my ‘Peace Den’, at wellbeing events and at a local mental health charity.
I am a Reiki Master Teacher which means I teach others to become Reiki practitioners and teachers.
I am also a member of the UK Reiki Federation. You can find me listed in their directory for Reiki in Westhoughton: https://www.reikifed.co.uk/find-reiki-near-me/
My Reiki courses are taught in a small group and sometimes one-to-one.
Reiki Level I : This course is all about YOU finding out about yourself. It offers you a path to personal transformation through Reiki. You learn what Reiki is about, its history, and the subtle energy system – the chakra system. You also learn how to use Reiki for healing yourself.
Reiki Level II : Level II takes you deeper into understanding energy and your relationship with it. It also introduces symbols and distant healing. To be considered for the course you will need to have completed Level 1 at least six months before. Level II equips you to become a Reiki Practitioner and offer Reiki sessions to the public. This course involves much more from you than Level I and completion is dependent on your successful completion of practical tasks set by your Reiki Master/Teacher.
Reiki Master/Teacher : This level takes you to a more spiritual connection with the universe and equips you to teach Reiki to others. It includes being given master symbols, learning the attunement process and what you need to cover on your Reiki courses. Before being considered for this level you will need to have at least 12 months experience as a Reiki practitioner.

Reiki shares are a great opportunity to get together with other Reiki folks and share experiences, ask questions, discuss all things Reiki and share a healing session. My monthly reiki share usually starts with a brew and cake which has earned its title as Reiki Cakey Share. If you would like to come along to my reiki share you must have successfully completed at least Reiki Level I. Please do get in touch for more information.
Since ancient times, drumming has been recognised to have therapeutic benefits. The repetitive beat of the drum slows brainwaves from a busy beta state, through an alpha state then a deep meditative theta state.
In Reiki drumming, the practitioner directs Reiki through the drum. Reiki drum healing is followed with regular Reiki (as described above).
There are three Reiki drum healing techniques to choose from:
You will be advised at consultation which technique may be best for you.
The feet are our foundation, the roots that ground us to the earth. In Reiki, the feet are associated with the root chakra, the energy centre that governs our sense of safety and security. This balancing, restorative package combines Reiki with Reflexology/Thai foot massage to help balance the root chakra and restore a sense of stability and grounding to your being.
