My Westhoughton Yoga Classes

I’m a yoga teacher trained in Hatha and Yin, with post graduate Dru Yoga training. I also have completed courses in Restorative and Chair Yoga, and Yoga for Menopause.

My teaching takes a therapeutic approach and offers an accessible style of yoga that includes mindful breathing, meditation and relaxation techniques. It also refers to the philosophical dimensions of yoga practice, helping you to understand and connect with yourself. I teach yoga in community settings in Westhoughton, Bolton, and sometimes online.

Yoga has so many benefits including improving strength and bone density, stabilising blood pressure, improving circulation, reducing physical, mental, and emotional tension, and helping you cope with life’s challenges.

You will learn techniques to take away and use in your daily life to help bring about physical, mental, and emotional balance.

Yoga meets you where you are right now and offers you lifelong support. All you need to do is take that first step.

My classes are suitable for experienced and beginners alike. There are limited class sizes to allow for a supportive space with a friendly community feel and you will be made to feel very welcome.

Why do my classes run in 6-week blocks? Because you will only benefit from yoga by making a commitment to yourself to practice regularly. You also save money. However, I do have some single places available. If you want to try a class I recommend you pay for a single class then, if you want to continue for the remaining 5-weeks you’ll be charged at the discounted rate.

‘Monday Yoga with Michelle’, The John Holt Community Centre, BL5 2NR, 7pm – 8:15pm. This weekly class runs over 6 consecutive weeks (including some public holidays).

Tuesday, The Hub at Westhoughton, BL5 3DS

12:30pm – 1:30pm, Gentle Yoga. Mindful movements. Limited places to allow for more individual attention.

6:30pm – 7:30pm, Gentle Yoga. Mindful movements. Limited places to allow for more individual attention.

7:15pm – 8:15pm.  Ladies Yoga & Wellbeing. A slow-paced class to unwind and relax body-mind. It combines slow, mindful yoga movements, breathwork, reflective journaling, and relaxation to help connect deeply within and bring body, mind and spirit together in harmony.

Wednesday Wellbeing, The Hub at Westhoughton, BL5 3DS. 10:30 – 11:30am. Mindful movements, breathing and relaxation. Can be seated in a chair or use a yoga mat.

Yin Yoga’, The John Holt Community Centre, BL5 2NR, 7pm – 8:15pm.  This class occurs every 6 weeks on a Monday.

Yin is practiced mainly down on a mat on the floor. Slows down the mind, helps improve range of movement and aids mobility; reduces recovery time and improves function of muscles after working out, running cycling, swimming and other more physical activity.
