I’m a yoga teacher trained in Hatha and Yin, with additional training in Restorative, Chair yoga, Yoga for Menopause, and the subtle energetics of Dru yoga. My teaching offers an accessible style of yoga and includes mindful breathing, meditation and relaxation techniques. It also refers to the philosophical dimensions of yoga practice, helping you to understand and connect with your true self. I teach yoga in community settings in Westhoughton, Bolton, and sometimes online.
Yoga has so many benefits including improving strength and bone density, stabilising blood pressure, improving circulation, reducing physical, mental, and emotional tension, and helping you cope with life’s challenges.
You will learn techniques to take away and use in your daily life to help bring about physical, mental, and emotional balance.
Yoga meets you where you are right now and offers you lifelong support. All you need to do is take that first step.
My classes are suitable for experienced and beginners alike. There are limited class sizes to allow for a supportive space with a friendly community feel and you will be made to feel very welcome.
Why do I have blocks of classes? Because you will only benefit from yoga by making a commitment to yourself to practice regularly. You also save money. However, I do have some single places available.
‘Monday Yoga with Michelle’, The John Holt Community Centre, BL5 2NR, 7pm – 8:15pm. This weekly class runs over 6 consecutive weeks (including some public holidays).
‘Tuesday Yoga with Michelle’, The Hub Westhoughton, BL5 3DS, 7pm – 8pm. Ladies Only Class. A slow-paced class to unwind and relax body-mind. It combines slow, mindful yoga movements, breathwork and mudras to connect deeply within and bring body, mind and spirit together in harmony.
Ladies only space.
Limited places to create a safe, comfortable space.
Runs in blocks of 4 consecutive weeks.
‘Monthly Monday Yin’, The John Holt Community Centre, BL5 2NR, 7pm – 8:15pm. ‘Yin Yoga is practiced mainly down on a mat on the floor. This style of yoga slows us down and can be great preparation for bedtime. Yin also helps improve range of movement, hydrates tissues and aids mobility; reduces recovery time and improves function of muscles after working out, running cycling, swimming and other more physical activity.
“I love Michelle’s Yoga Class. Everyone is so friendly and Michelle is really supportive. I feel so much happier at the end of every session. If you love Yoga – or even if you’ve never tried it before – this is a lovely class to come to.”
